Story behind casting Aneet Padda for Shakti Shalini

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Amar revealed how Aneet came on board for Shakti Shalini. "When we were writing the script, we realised that we needed a younger actor. Meanwhile, we saw her film Saiyaara and realised that she suits the part perfectly for that character. She heard the story and came on board," he revealed.While Aneet is Shakti Shalini's lead actor, it isn't known who will direct the horror comedy film. "There might be just one film (from the universe in 2026). We feel that there should not be an overdose and we should not give too many films in a short period. Amar Kaushik to direct a horror film next?

Moving on, Amar shared his plans to direct a horror film in the horror comedy universe. He previously helmed Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's Stree. "Yes, I really want to.
