The show is releasing on September 18 and ahead of it, Kajol, his dad Shah Rukh Khan's one of the close friends in the industry, took to social media to share her excitement and extend her best wishes to him.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Kajol shared the video and wrote, "Bads of Bollywood releasing tomorrow. Excited for it." With its mix of humour, ambition, romance, and raw storytelling — and now, a pulsating soundtrack led by Diljit Dosanjh — the series promises to be one of Netflix’s boldest offerings of the year.
Sharing his father's reaction to The Ba***ds Of Bollywood trailer and Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's cameo in the show, lead actor Lakshay told Zoom, "Some days, I feel like it's all just a dream, and someone will wake me up. But honestly, this is huge for me. I've been working for 10-11 years, and now my father sees my work and says with pride, 'You're going to surpass me.' That's a big deal for me." Further, he added, "My father, being a father, doesn't express much, but after seeing my work with big stars like Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, he feels proud. He says, 'It seems like you're going to surpass me.' That means a lot to me."
