The trailer of the film will be unveiled on September 22 at 12:45 PM, ahead of the film's theatrical launch on October 2, 2025. Before his film's big day, the National Award-winning actor and director has given a shoutout to Dhanush, Nithya Menen for their upcoming film Idli Kadai, following the movie's trailer reveal.

Idli Kadai trailer out

In the 2-minute trailer, Dhanush plays Murugan, who is strongly connected to his father’s traditional idli stall. Murugan suggests upgrading the stall with an idli grinder, but his father, portrayed by Sathyaraj, values the traditional methods. The stall holds cultural importance in its community.The story also follows Murugan as he moves into hotel management, working with Ashwin (played by Arun Vijay) to improve profits. However, tension arises when Ashwin threatens Murugan, putting both the business and his father’s legacy in jeopardy. This leads Murugan to confront challenges and fight to protect his family’s honour and traditions.

Meanwhile, speaking about Rishab Shetty's work front, Rishab Shetty is actively involved in several exciting projects. He is both directing and starring in Kantara: Chapter 1, a prequel to the hit film Kantara, which is set to release on October 2, 2025. In addition, Shetty will take on the role of Lord Hanuman in the mythological saga Jai Hanuman and portray a key figure in the historical drama The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Furthermore, he is set to headline a period drama for Sithara Entertainments, currently known as Production No. 36.
