for the German series based on Mona Kasten's books shows the challenges young couple James (Damian Hardung) and Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten) are going up against. Check out the trailer below!

The first trailer for the new season was shared on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, "Back to school. Back to Maxton Hall. Season 2, November 7 only on Prime Video." The second season comes back after James's mother's death, and the young lacrosse captain is spiraling. Ruby returns to campus and sees a drunk James kissing Elaine (Eli Riccardi) at a party.

A heartbroken Ruby's voiceover states, "Sometimes one second is enough to turn [dreams] into a nightmare." Luckily, James knows how much he messed up with Ruby and tries to win her back. He tells her in the trailer, "I'm forever sorry. I wish that I could take it back."But those around the couple continue to tell them that they are from different worlds and should not be together. The ensemble cast of Season 2 includes Sonja Weißer, Ben Felipe, Fedja van Huêt, Runa Greiner, Justus Riesner, Andrea Guo, Frederic Balonier, and Eli Riccard who reprising their roles.Dagny Dewath, Proschat Madani, Anna Lucia Gustmann, Basil Eidenbenz, Laura de Boer, and Kiro Ebra join the cast, while Gina Henkel is part of the show in a recast role.ALSO READ: Maxton Hall Turns One! Directed by Martin Schreier, the first three episodes of the second season will premiere November 7 and stream weekly until the finale on November 27. The official synopsis says of this season, "Ruby is devastated. She has never had such strong feelings for anyone as she does for James - and she has never been so hurt by anyone either. She wants her old life back, where no one at Maxton Hall knew her and she wasn't part of the elitist world of her classmates. But she can't forget James - especially since he's doing everything he can to win her back."
