Parking Film Producer KS Sinish REACTS To National Award Win: 'This Makes Us More Responsible' | EXCL
The 71st National Awards ceremony took place in New Delhi on Tuesday, September 23, saw film personalities receive accolades from President Droupadi Murmu. In the Tamil Industry, the film Parking won the National Award for
Best Screenplay (Original) along with the National Award for Best Tamil Film (Directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan). KS Sinish, who backed Parking also received the award from the President. In an exclusive chat with Zoom, KS Sinish spoke about his win.
KS Sinish Talks About National Award Honour For Parking
KS Sinish is no stranger to the world of films. In 2017, he directed Balloon, starring Jai, Janani Iyer and Anjali in leas roles. Soon after, KS Sinish ventured into film production. Some the film's produced by him include Dikkiloona, Topless, Vivaha Bhojanambu, but it is Parking which put him in the limelight.
Talking about his big win, he said "It’s indeed a pride , why not because it’s every one’s dream to win the appreciation of this big coveted honour. Once we decided to go to floors for this movie we were expecting good results. Honestly, not an acclaim of this level. Makes us more responsible. This honour is actually loading us with responsibility. We are conscious enough to make more films in the future that enhances the reputation of our individual calibre after this honour."
About Parking
Parking is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language thriller film written and directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan in his directorial debut. Produced by Passion Studios and Soldiers Factory, the film stars Harish Kalyan, M S Bhaskar and Indhuja Ravichandran. In the film, a married couple relocate to a new house, but face escalating tensions with a neighbour over a parking slot. In May 2024, it was stated that Parking was planned to be remade in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada and English.
