The second post-mortem report of the singer, conducted at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), has been handed over to his wife, Garima Saikia Garg on October 4. Special Investigation Team (SIT) officer Moromi Das delivered the documents to Garima at their residence in Kahilipara. The Singapore post-mortem report was also handed to her on October 2 and the investigation on the Ya Ali singer's demise is still in process under SIT. He passed away at 52 in Singapore on September 19 in a scuba diving accident. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had previously stated that the decision to make the report public would rest entirely with the singer's wife.RIP Zubeen Garg
Garima Garg recorded her statement in front of the Chief Judicial Magistrate and submitted all relevant documents. “We need justice as soon as possible. That is my prayer to the judicial system. I want to know what exactly happened that we lost him. We will cooperate with the law," she told reporters outside the court.For the unversed, the Assam government has decided to pay tribute to the singer and cultural icon, Zubeen Garg. They will distribute his ashes to organisations and individuals through an online application system.
