The Nifty index is down around 80 points, with the 50-stock index falling to the 25,200 mark. The Sensex index is down over 250 points, falling to 82,200 points.

BLS International shares have nosedived by over 15% after the company was proscribed from taking part in any future tenders with the MEA.

This fall in the index comes after registering a weekly advance previously. The level above 25,300 will be an important one to track for the Nifty, while for the Nifty Bank, which cooled off nearly 150 points from the highs, the 56,760 level is under focus.

Some of the biggest losers of the day, among the Nifty 500 stocks, are Reliance Power, Kaynes Tech, Redington, Jyoti CNC and Tata Communications, among others.
