What do the latest documents show?
The newly released documents showed several emails, and one of those was a tentative trip toEpstein's private island in the US Virgin Islands on December 6, 2014, with the note, "Is this still happening?"
Other emails, however, show Epstein's plans with several high-profile figures, including a breakfast with Steve Bannon on February 16, 2019, lunch with Peter Thiel on November 27, 2017, and a tentative breakfast party with Bill Gates on December 5, 2014.
In addition, the documents also showed the Duke of York, Prince Andrew’s, name on a flight manifest for a private jet that flew from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey to Palm Beach, Florida, in May 2000.
These files were obtained from Epstein's estate and made public by Democrats on the committee. They stated that they obtained 8,544 documents after issuing a subpoena in August.
They received phone message logs from 2002 to 2005 and copies of flight logs and flight manifests for aircraft, including helicopters, that Epstein owned, rented, leased, operated, or used from 1990 to 2019, according to Oversight Democrats.
They also found copies of ledgers showing cash transactions for Epstein and business entities and Epstein's daily schedules between 2010 and 2019.
Oversight Committee spokesperson Sara Guerrero, in a statement, said, “It should be clear to every American that Jeffrey Epstein was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world. Every new document produced provides new information as we work to bring justice for the survivours and victims,” she added.
“Oversight Democrats will not stop until we identify everyone complicit in Epstein's heinous crimes. It’s past time for Attorney General Bondi to release all the files now,” she added..
