The Kannada entertainer Dilmaar is set for release on 23 October, while the English-language drama Regretting You will arrive on 24 October. With a variety of languages and genres on offer, every moviegoer will find something to enjoy this week (20–26 October).
Thamma (21 October): Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, this film centres on a journalist who, curious about his family's past, sets out to uncover it—only to become a vampire in the process. The cast includes Ayushmann Khurrana, Paresh Rawal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat (21 October): This Milap Zaveri romantic drama follows a devoted artist who falls in love with a woman entirely different from him. Obsession soon takes hold, and he begins making threats to end their relationship. Sonam Bajwa and Harshvardhan Rane star in the lead roles.
Regretting You (24 October): Based on Colleen Hoover’s novel Regretting You, this romantic drama explores the relationship between a mother and daughter as they confront the truths that emerge after a tragic event. Directed by Josh Boone, the film stars Allison Williams as Morgan Grant and McKenna Grace as her daughter Clara.
Blue Moon (24 October): Ethan Hawke stars as renowned Broadway songwriter Lorenz Hart in Richard Linklater’s Blue Moon, which follows a single night—the Oklahoma! opening-night celebration on 31 March 1943—as Hart grapples with his waning career, alcoholism, and the success of his former partner. The film had a limited US theatrical release on 17 October and will arrive in India on 24 October.
Last Days (24 October): Directed by Justin Lin, this film tells the true story of John Allen Chau, a 26-year-old missionary killed while attempting to evangelise the isolated Sentinelese tribe on North Sentinel Island. Sky Yang plays Chau, with Radhika Apte, Naveen Andrews, and Ken Leung in supporting roles. The film premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere (24 October): Scott Cooper’s biographical musical drama recounts the events of Bruce Springsteen’s career while recording his 1982 album Nebraska. Jeremy Allen White stars as Springsteen, with the film exploring his personal and professional struggles during this pivotal period.
Bugonia (24 October): In this remake of the 2003 South Korean thriller Save the Green Planet!, two men abduct the CEO (Emma Stone) of a high-end corporation, believing she is an alien planning to destroy Earth. Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis play the kidnappers, leading to an unexpected chain of events.
Dilmaar (23 October): Directed by M. Chandramouli, this Kannada romantic-action film explores fate, love, and the tension between waiting for love and fighting for it. The film stars debutant Ram Gowda opposite Aditi Prabhudeva and Dimple Hayathi, delivering a mix of action, mass-appeal moments, and emotional storytelling.
