What is the story about?
Infrastructure company Dilip Buildcon Ltd on Monday (October 6) said the company, through its joint venture DBL-APMPL (DBL 74% and APMPL 26%), has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for developing a 100 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) power project under captive mode.
The project involves supplying power to Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (MPJNM) for a period of 25 years from the date of commissioning. The project, awarded by MPJNM, is domestic in nature and will be developed under a general contract.
It will be executed over a 24-month construction period, followed by a 25-year power supply term. The power will be supplied at a rate of ₹2.09 per unit using non-DCR panels.

The solar project will be established across Ramnagar and Dhanwada villages in Suwasra tehsil, Mandsaur district, Madhya Pradesh. MPJNM will provide around 315 acres of land for the project and will contribute ₹31.20 crore as equity or a similar instrument to hold a 26% ownership stake, in line with captive mode requirements.
First Quarter Results
Dilip Buildcon reported a 93.6% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to ₹271 crore for Q1 FY26, supported by improved margins and an exceptional gain of ₹169.3 crore. The EBITDA grew 8.7% to ₹520 crore, while the EBITDA margin rose sharply to 19.8% from 15.2% last year.
However, revenue declined 16.4% year-on-year to ₹2,620 crore, reflecting the broader slowdown in EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) ordering activity.

Dilip Buildcon’s order book stood at ₹13,695 crore as of June 30, 2025. Roads and highways made up 17.8% of the order book, while mining contributed the largest share at 28.9%. Irrigation, tunnels, water supply, optical fibre, urban development, bridges, and metro projects accounted for the rest.
Shares of Dilip Buildcon Ltd ended at ₹514.50, up by ₹10.05, or 1.99%, on the BSE.
