Prime Minister Narendra Modi is unlikely to travel to Malaysia to participate in the ASEAN-India summit and the East Asia Summit, reports said.
Also, no bilateral meeting between PM Modi and US President Donald Trump is scheduled this year since both will not meet at the summit. Modi's diplomatic calendar will focus on the G20 Summit in South Africa in November, which Trump will not attend, the report added.
There is, as of now, no clarity on the scheduling of the QUAD Summit, which India is slated to host later this year.
On the other hand, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will represent India at the meetings.
