Pune-based Bharat Forge on Thursday (October 16) announced that it has extended partnership with Rolls-Royce to manufacture and supply fan blades for the luxury auto brand's Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engines.
Collaboration between the two companies began in 2020 when Bharat Forge began supplying parts for the Pearl 700 engines, the company said.
For Rolls-Royce, this marks a step forward in its commitment to double its supply chain sourcing from India by 2030.
“This expanded partnership with Rolls-Royce reflects our shared commitment to engineering excellence and long-term collaboration," Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, said in a statement.
Bharat Forge also enabled the car manufacturer to deliver its first zero-defect fan blade in 2024.
"Bharat Forge has been a key supplier to Rolls-Royce since the inception of the Pearl 700 Programme, consistently delivering high-quality machined blades. Remarkably, Bharat Forge is the first and only company in India to offer this advanced technology for precision aerospace components used in the Pearl
engine family," Rolls-Royce said in a statement.
The company's shares gained 2.63%, closing at ₹1,265 apiece on NSE.
