The courtroom comedy grossed about ₹21 crore in India on Sunday (Day 3). This represents a significant boost over Friday's opening-day haul of ₹12.50 crore and an impressive increase from Saturday's collection of approximately ₹20 crore. The three-day domestic total, when added together, is around ₹53.50 crore, as per trade tracker Sacnilk.
The courtroom drama had an overall Hindi occupancy of 40.36% on Sunday, with morning shows accounting for 19.41%, afternoon shows for 48.61%, evening shows for 57.40%, and night shows for 36.01%.
Jolly LLB 3had a sluggish start, earning ₹ 12.50 crore net in India on day 1. On Friday, it had an overall Hindi occupancy of 22.40%, with morning shows of 10.28%, night shows of 17.46%, and night shows of 39.45%.
When compared to earlier instalments, Jolly LLB 3is faring better: its predecessor, Jolly LLB 2 (2017), grossed nearly ₹ 50 crore over its first weekend, while the 2013 original had a significantly lower opening.
Jolly LLB 3 is currently the eighth-highest first-weekend earning among Indian films to date in 2025, according to the Indian Express.
Jolly LLB 3's first weekend has outperformed a number of other releases this year, including Shahid Kapoor's Deva (₹ 33.97 crore), John Abraham's The Diplomat (₹40.73 crore), Kajol's Maa (₹38.63 crore), Rajummar Rao's Maalik (₹ 26.36 crore), Siddhant Chaturvedi's Dhadak 2 (₹ 24.24 crore), and Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2 (₹ 47.15 crore).
Despite surpassing the ₹50 crore mark, the movie did not quite open with the same momentum as some of Akshay Kumar's previous films. Housefull 5, for instance, made ₹55 crore in its first two days of launch. Sky Force also performed well this season, earning over ₹65.25 crore in its opening weekend.
