The order, valued between ₹13,000 crore to ₹15,000 crore, pertains to EPC packages of 1x660 MW Amarkantak Unit No. 6 and 1x660 MW Satpura Unit No. 12 Supercritical Thermal Power Plants in Madhya Pradesh. The order value is excluding taxes and duties.
Supply of equipment, erection & commissioning, and other civil works form a part of the scope of the order, which was obtained by BHEL through an open tender enquiry, the PSU said in an exchange filing.
BHEL is supposed to complete both the projects within 57 months from the Notification of Award.
BHEL's order book had swelled 51% from last year during the June quarter to cross the mark of ₹2 lakh crore. Its order inflows during the during the quarter also increased by 42% to ₹13,445 crore.
The company's net loss had widened during the June quarter to ₹455 crore, while its EBITDA loss also widened to ₹537 crore during the same quarter last year.
Shares of BHEL are trading 1.9% higher on Tuesday, at ₹238.34. The stock has risen 12% in the last one month.
