What is the story about?
Housing & Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NBCC (India) Ltd. to execute four construction projects across the country.
The agreement was signed in New Delhi on September 19, 2025, by HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Sanjay Kulshrestha and NBCC CMD K. P. Mahadevaswamy, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
The MoU covers projects in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, and Delhi.
These include development of a commercial plot at Kaushambi, Ghaziabad, an institutional plot at Panchkula, construction of additional blocks at HUDCO’s regional office in Ahmedabad, and reconstruction of residential flats at the Asian Games Village complex in New Delhi.
According to HUDCO’s exchange filing, the projects will be brought about on a turnkey basis, with NBCC acting as the implementing agency.
The filing described the developments as deposit works, which means that the projects will be undertaken against funds provided by HUDCO for execution.
NBCC, a government-owned Navratna enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, is often engaged by government agencies for executing large-scale infrastructure and housing projects.
HUDCO is a public sector financial institution and focuses on financing and promoting housing and urban infrastructure development across India.
