The Nifty index is surging after a result bonanza over the weekend, teh 50-stock index is up over 150 points, surging, and thereby aiming for 25,900. The Sensex index is up over 450 points, surging to the 84,400 mark.

The Nifty Bank index has surged significantly, hitting a record mark. This is thanks to results that came in from major lenders, including HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank, PNB, IDFC First Bank, IndusInd Bank, Federal Bank, and AU Small Finance Bank, among others.

Some of the biggest gainers among the Nifty 500 stocks are also stocks that reported their results in the past three days. Some of the biggest gainers are AU Bank, RBL Bank, Ceat Tyres, Federal Bank, Chennai Petro, IDFC First Bank among others.

With holidays ahead, volumes may remain on the lower side, and Friday's high of 25,781 will be the first important level on the upside.
