What is the story about?
Indian Railways is all set to introduce seven new trains, including three new Amrit Bharat Express trains, for Bihar on Monday, September 29. These additional trains will significantly improve connectivity across the poll-bound state, giving passengers more convenient travel options. All seven trains will be operated and maintained by the East Central Railway (ECR) zone.
Of the seven new services, four will run within Bihar, linking major cities and towns across the state. The remaining three Amrit Bharat Express trains will travel larger distances, connecting Bihar to other regions around India.
Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary are set to launch these trains from Patna Junction. Vaishnaw will join the program via video conference.
In a post on X, Vaishnaw wrote, “Starting from tomorrow, 3 new Amrit Bharat Express trains will begin operations. •Darbhanga – Ajmer (Madar) •Muzaffarpur – Hyderabad (Charlapalli) •Chhapra – Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal). Now, there will be a total of 30 Amrit Bharat Express services.”
