Jaffar Express attacked near Sindh-Balochistan border in Pakistan, several passengers injured

In another attack on the Jaffar Express, a planted explosive device detonated on the tracks near Sultankot area, close to the Sindh-Balochistan border, on Tuesday (October 7). Multiple coaches of the train were derailed following the blast.

Several passengers were reportedly injured, though there was no confirmation on casualties.

Rescue teams and security forces were conducting relief operations.

In August 2025, an IED explosion derailed six coaches of the same train in Mastung district of Balochistan. The incident left a few passengers with minor injuries and halted services temporarily.

In March 2025, militants of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) hijacked the Jaffar Express in Bolan Pass, taking over 400 passengers hostage in a protracted standoff.
