Supreme Petrochem reports ₹148 crore profit in Q2, revenue falls 55%; dividend announced

Petrochemicals company Supreme Petrochem Ltd on Friday (October 24) reported a net profit of ₹148 crore for Q2 FY26, up 63% year-on-year from ₹91 crore. Revenue for the quarter declined 55% to ₹1,117 crore compared

with ₹2,519 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s EBITDA stood at ₹78.7 crore, down 59.6% from ₹194 crore in Q2 FY25. EBITDA margin was at 7%, slightly lower than 7.7% in the year-ago period.

Supreme Petrochem has declared an interim dividend of ₹2.50 per equity share, equivalent to 2.125% of its paid-up equity capital, for the financial year 2025-26.

The company’s paid-up capital consists of 18,804,134 equity shares of ₹2 each, entailing a total outgo of ₹47.01 crore. The record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders to receive the interim dividend has been fixed as Friday, October 31, 2025.

In July this year, Supreme Petrochem said it is aiming for a 12% growth in volumes in FY26, even as the company posted muted numbers for the June quarter. "We hope to achieve close to 12% volume growth this year," said Rakesh Nayyar, Executive Director of Supreme Petrochem, in an interview with CNBC-TV18.

The company's volumes in the first quarter remained flat compared to last year, with only a marginal uptick of 0.5%. Demand from the domestic market was subdued, largely due to lower lifting by OEMs amid unseasonal rains that impacted sales of cooling appliances like refrigerators and air conditioners. “The growth was muted this year,” Nayyar noted, adding that even the non-OEM segment saw tepid demand.

On the pricing front, a sharp correction in styrene monomer—its key raw material—also weighed on the topline. Between March and April, prices of styrene fell, which in turn led to lower selling prices for the company.

Shares of Supreme Petrochem Ltd ended at ₹812.00, up by ₹9.40, or 1.17%, on the BSE.
