
The move comes after India and China agreed to resume flight services after five years to normalise bilateral relations between the two Asian giants. The new route will provide improved connectivity from the Indian capital to Hanoi, which is a key cultural and commercial centre in Southeast Asia.

IndiGo at present operates 14 weekly flights linking Kolkata with both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The airline's latest initiative aims to meet the growing travel demand between India and Vietnam, a destination that has gained popularity among Indian tourists and business travellers in recent years.
