Industrial gas major Linde India Ltd on Monday announced the commencement of commercial production at its new gas facility in Unnao, Lucknow.
The plant is designed to support both industrial and medical requirements, with an emphasis on boosting storage, handling and distribution capabilities.
In a regulatory filing, the company said the new facility will significantly enhance supply of bulk gases that are critical for hospital operations and for a wide range of industrial applications.
Linde India
already has a strong presence in Uttar Pradesh, supplying medical gases to major government and private hospitals across the state for more than two decades.

Linde India has also been adapting to changes in market dynamics. In its June quarter results announced last month, the company reported a 5.7% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹107.1 crore compared with ₹113.6 crore a year earlier. Revenue fell 12.6% to ₹571 crore from ₹653 crore, reflecting a softer demand environment.
At the same time, the company’s operating performance improved. EBITDA rose 7.1% to ₹196.8 crore from ₹183.7 crore, with margins expanding to 34.5% from 28.1% a year ago. The improvement in margins points to efficiency gains and tighter cost control despite pressure on the top line.
Shares of Linde India were trading 1.27% higher at ₹6,521 on the NSE at 2:29 pm, after hitting an intraday high of ₹6,560.
