The Berrechid facility will produce the Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP), marking the first Indian defence manufacturing unit on the African continent.
A wheeled armoured platform (WhAP) is a combat vehicle designed by Tata Advanced Systems and the state-owned Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The eight-wheel drive can tread on land and water, offer advanced armor protection against ballistics and mines.
