What is the story about?
Chemical firm Deepak Nitrite Ltd on Friday (September 26) said its wholly-owned subsidiary Deepak Chem Tech Limited has commissioned its hydrogenation plant at Dahej, Bharuch district in Gujarat, on September 26, 2025.
The total capital expenditure for the project is approximately ₹115 crore as of the date of commissioning. The new facility is expected to strengthen the company’s manufacturing capabilities and support its growth objectives.
First quarter results
Deepak Nitrite reported a 44.6% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at ₹112 crore for the first quarter that ended June 30, 2025. The company had posted a net profit of ₹202.5 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue dipped 12.8% to ₹1,889.8 crore against ₹2,166.8 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal. EBITDA slumped 38.8% to ₹189.3 crore in this quarter from ₹309.4 crore year-on-year. The EBITDA margin shrank to 10% from 14.3% last year.
Shares of Deepak Nitrite Ltd ended at ₹1,848.40, down by ₹13.15 or 0.71%, on the BSE today, September 26.
