RBI MPC meeting 2025 LIVE updates: The Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) left the repo rate unchanged at 5.5% on Wednesday, October 1. This is the second pause in a row, after the committee delivered rate cuts totaling 100 basis points across February, April and June.

All members voted in favour of maintaining the policy rate and retaining the stance as “neutral.” The Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) rate remains at 5.25%, while the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) rate continues

at 5.75%.

The meeting concluded against the backdrop of the recently implemented GST rate changes that came into effect on September 22, which reduced prices of several essentials and automobiles.
