The Sensex index is also down, having fallen from the early highs. The index is down close to 200 points, falling well below the 82,200.

HCLtech, after a jittery pre-open session, has risen in value by over 1%, after delivering strong Q2 results.
Some of the biggest losers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Dixon Tech, Ola Electric, Indian Overseas Bank, Natco Pharma, UCO Bank, Pirmal Pharma apart from others.
Apart from HCLTech, Tech Mahindra will become the third IT major to report results today after TCS and HCLTech, while IREDA, Bank of Maharashtra, Persistent Systems, ICICI Lombard and ICICI Prudential are some of the other companies reporting results today.
