PVR INOX Limited has announced a partnership with Global Citizen to broadcast the 2025 Global Citizen Festival live in cinemas across India on Sunday, 28 September 2025.
The festival, held internationally to promote action against extreme poverty, will feature performances by global artists including Cardi B, Shakira, Tyla, Ayra Starr, Mariah The Scientist, Camilo, and a special performance by BLACKPINK’s Rosé. The event will be hosted by actor Hugh Jackman.
Speaking about the collaboration, Aamer Bijli, Lead Specialist – Innovation, Film Marketing, and Digital Programming at PVR INOX, said: "At PVR INOX, we are thrilled to bring the Global Citizen Festival live to India. The response from audiences has been overwhelming, and it’s exciting to see such anticipation for an event that combines world-class music with a purpose-driven mission. We are delighted to offer our cinemas as the front-row seat to this extraordinary celebration, and we can’t wait for audiences to be part of it."

The 2025 broadcast marks only the second time Global Citizen has held an event in India, following its 2016 edition featuring Coldplay, Jay Z, and Demi Lovato. PVR INOX will transform its cinemas into concert-style venues, giving audiences an immersive experience of the festival from Central Park, New York City. Tickets are now available nationwide.
