L&T classifies orders in the ₹2,500 crore to ₹5,000 crore range as 'large'.
One of the orders is from Hindalco to set up a 180 KTPA aluminium smelter and gas treatment centre for its upcoming greenfield project in Odisha.
The scope of work includes civil and structural works, supply and erection of for the aluminium smelter job, and engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and plant installation for the GTC job.
L&T also secured an order to set up a 1 MTPA coke oven battery 6 A/B from Tata Steel in Jamshedpur. The scope of work includes engineering, manufacturing, supply, construction and plant installation.
The minerals and metals business vertical has also won multiple orders from several clients across India for mining and material handling equipment such as stacker reclaimers, wagon tipplers, crushers and surface miners.
"These order wins across the aluminium and steel sectors are a testament to L&T’s engineering excellence, execution capability and enduring customer relationships," T Kumaresan, senior vice-president and head of minerals and metals at L&T, said.
L&T shares were trading flat at ₹3,918.8 apiece around 10.20 am on Friday. The stock has gained 6.7% in the past month and 18.7% in the last six months.
