The appointments include Viral Damania as Chief Financial Officer, Anand Vardhan as General Counsel, Pragati Gondhalekar as Head of Internal Audit, Pankaj Sharma as Head of Business Transformation, and Sheran Mehra as Chief Marketing Officer, the private lender said in a statement on Thursday.
Damania, a veteran with over 27 years of experience, joins from Bank of America India, where he was CFO and a board member of BofA Securities India Ltd. He has also worked with Citibank N.A. and PwC.
Vardhan, with 26 years of legal experience, has held senior roles at Piramal Group, HDFC Property Fund, ICICI Bank, and Tata Housing, while Gondhalekar, formerly with Deutsche Bank, brings nearly three decades of experience in audit, risk management and compliance.
Sharma, previously Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Yes Bank, will lead IndusInd’s business transformation efforts, and Mehra, a former executive at Tata Digital, DBS Bank and Barclays, will head marketing initiatives.
The appointments are part of IndusInd Bank’s broader strategy to reinforce its leadership bench and drive sustainable value creation, the lender said.
