Jassi Weds Jassi’ Trailer: Ranvir Shorey, Sikandar Kher revive 90s-style romance with a dose of humour

Jassi Weds Jassi, a fresh comedy drama, is ready to take audiences on a laughter-filled ride on November 7. Now, the makers have piqued the interest of viewers by unveiling the trailer of the film today, October 24. The movie, directed by Paran Bawa, features Ranvir Shorey, Sikandar Kher, Harshh Vardhan Singh Deo, Rehmat Rattan, Manu Rishi Chadha, Sudesh Lehri and Grusha Kapoor among others.

Jassi Weds Jassi is set against the backdrop of Haldwani in the late ’90s, replete with nostalgic themes of landlines, cassettes and old-school romance. At its core is Jassi, played by Harshhvardhan Singh Deo. A hopeless romantic, he falls in love with a sweet and sensible woman, also named Jassi, portrayed by Rehmat Rattan.

But there’s a catch. Another person who goes by the name Jassi is thrown into the mix, setting the stage for a comedy of errors, which soon spirals into chaos, confusion and a hilarious chain of misunderstandings.

Meanwhile, Ranvir Shorey essays the character of a frustrated married man who gets smitten by a mysterious woman. But come, Sikandar Kher, a charming troublemaker who brings extra mayhem with his loud personality.

The other cast members also display excellent comic timing with their quirky one-liners and situational mishaps, promising a through-and-through entertaining ride. By the end of the trailer, every event culminates in a tumultuous, big, fat, Punjabi wedding.

Speaking about Jassi Weds Jassi, Ranvir Shorey said in a statement, “It is that kind of story where a small mix-up snowballs into complete madness.
