Two and three-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto Ltd. saw its stock gain as much as 1.5% on Wednesday, October 1, after the company reported its sales figures for September. However, the stock gave up most of those gains soon after.
The automaker sold a total of 5,10,504 units of two-wheelers and commercial vehicles in September 2025, a growth of 9% from 4,69,531 units sold in the same month last year.
The overall domestic sales increased by 4% from last year to 3,25,252 units from 3,11,887 units sold
in September 2024. Similarly, exports for the company went up by 18% to 1,85,252 units from 1,57,644 units sold in September 2024.
Domestic sale of two-wheelers increased by 5% to 2,73,188 units in September 2025 from 2,59,333 units in the same month last year. Bajaj Auto's two-wheeler exports saw a 12% jump from 1,41,156 units to 1,57,665 units.
Exports of commercial vehicles rose to 27,587 for the month from 16,488 units in the same month last year. However, domestic commercial vehicle sales fell by 1%.
Bajaj Auto recently announced that it will fully pass on the recent GST reduction to customers, offering discounts of up to ₹20,000 on two-wheelers and KTM motorcycles, and up to ₹24,000 on the three-wheeler range.
"Effective from September 22, 2025, consumers can now celebrate an early start to the festive season with reduced prices across Bajaj and KTM motorcycles, alongside the Bajaj three-wheelers at dealerships nationwide," the company said early September.
Shares of Bajaj Auto have given up nearly all the gains, currently trading little changed at ₹8,684.5.
