  The Nifty index is trading with cuts of around 100 points. The 50-stock index had a choppy weekly expiry. The Sensex is down over 300 points, falling to the 81,700 mark at the bourse.

The Nifty Bank is under pressure after having a strong trading day yesterday. The banking index is down over 200 points.

The shares of Minda Corp rose significantly before losing momentum.

When we look at the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap 100 index has also fallen by over 200 points. The Nifty Smallcap index is trading with marginal losses. Among the sectoral indices, the Nifty Realty and Nifty IT indices are among the worst, with a decline of close to 1%.

Some of the biggest losers today in the Nifty 500 stocks are Adani Power, Adani Total Gas, GMDC, Bharat Forge, and MMTC, among others
