HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — The Las Vegas Raiders interviewed Buffalo offensive coordinator Joe Brady on Monday for the second time as they continue their search for a head coach.
Brady is the third candidate to receive a second interview. The Raiders also conducted two interviews with former Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and Carolina DC Ejiro Evero. Minter has since been hired as Baltimore's coach
.The Raiders are seeking a replacement
for Pete Carroll, who was fired after going 3-14 this season.
Also off the market is former Miami coach Mike McDaniel, who was named the Chargers' offensive coordinator on Monday.
With Brady running Buffalo's offense the past two years, the Josh Allen-led Bills averaged 30.9 points per game in 2024 and 28.3 this season, both in the top four in the NFL. He has been with club since 2022 when the Bills hired him as quarterbacks coach. Brady was promoted to interim offensive coordinator when Ken Dorsey was hired in November 2023 and was named full-time to the position after that season.
He also worked as LSU's pass game coordinator with Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow and the explosive Tigers offense that won the 2019 national championship.
The Raiders own the top pick in this year’s draft and are expected to take Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza of Indiana, who led his team to the national championship.
