The Border Security Force (BSF) will close the application window for the Constable (General Duty) post in Group "C" under the Sports Quota for the 2025–26
cycle today. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official website, rectt.bsf.gov.in, before the deadline. This year, a total of 549 vacancies were announced for the Non-Gazetted & Non-Ministerial post of Constable (General Duty) in Group "C" on a temporary basis, but likely to be made permanent in the Border Security Force against the Sports Quota. Candidates must have cleared matriculation or its equivalent from a recognised board and be aged between 18 and 23 years as on 1st August, 2025, to be considered eligible.
Only those who have participated in or won medal(s) in the level of competitions like archery, athletics, basketball, boxing, etc., during the last two years from the closing date of the advertisement will be considered.

Application Fee: Male candidates belonging to the General (UR) and OBC categories applying for recruitment to the post of Constable (GD) under the sports quota will have to pay Rs. 159 through the BSF Recruitment website https://rectt.bsf.gov.in. "Applications received with any other mode of fee payment will be summarily rejected," the notice added.
On the other hand, females and candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories are exempted from paying the fee.
