A 74-year-old woman who was reported missing by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) has been found safe, authorities confirmed on Saturday (January
10). JSO did not release further details about where she was found or the circumstances surrounding her return, but officials confirmed that she is safe. According to JSO, Beverly Clark was reported missing on Friday night after she left her home and did not return. She was last seen in the area of Chester Avenue in Jacksonville. At the time she was reported missing, the woman was described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black and gray hair. Authorities said she was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jacket, black pants with a stripe down the side, white shoes, and a multi-colored head scarf. She was also carrying a black bag. Due to her age and how suddenly she went missing, police treated the case as urgent. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office used social media to ask for help from the public. Officers shared a missing person alert on their official pages and asked people to stay alert and report any information or sightings.
