A group of tourists visiting the Manas National Park in Assam were left with the ‘wildest’ experience one can ask for, after they had a ‘close encounter’
with a rhinoceros– who did not seem ‘too thrilled’ to have uninvited guests in the territory! A spine-chinning video from the Bansbari range of the national park is circulating on social media, which shows the wild animal calmly approaching a safari jeep, only to attack it! Based on the clip, it seemed like the animal tried to flip the vehicle, as it somewhat picked it up using its horn. However, to everyone’s fortune, not only did the tourists manage to remain calm, but the rhino too left just as calmly as it had approached the vehicle! The incident immediately went viral, receiving many reactions. Most called it a “unique experience”, while some suggested to not go too close to wild animals in safaris, as that can often leave the wild residents of the forest threatened. The Manas National Park is a much-preserved and ‘worth a visit’ destination, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Times Now could not confirm the details of the post. Internet’s reactions: “Tourists are responsible for their own damage, not the rhino. The rhino merely showed what it is capable of,” a user said. “So cute Rhino. Very well deserved. The message is for Indians to Start behaving properly in wildlife sanctuaries,” added another person. “everyone wants to get right on top of the rhino/ tiger for videos and photos,” added another. The safari driver should have maintained a safe distance, and the people sitting in the jeep should also have asked him not to go so close,” added another.
