Hyderabad: Task Force police conducted raids on adulterated paneer manufacturing units in Secunderabad. During surprise inspections across various parts
of the city, officials seized around 2,600 KGs of adulterated paneer. In particular, large quantities of adulterated paneer were found and confiscated from shops linked to Balaji Vijaya Milk. Authorities suspect that the paneer was being produced using substandard materials in violation of food safety norms. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

On credible information, the Commissionerโs Task Force (Khairtabad Zone), Hyderabad, conducted a surprise inspection at a premises in Tappachabutra under the limits of Tappachabutra Police Station, leading to the apprehension of one accused involved in the manufacture and sale of adulterated food products.

During the inspection, the accused, Mohammed Zafar Alam (42), a businessman and owner of Sahara India residing in Tappachabutra, was found preparing ginger and garlic paste under highly unhygienic conditions. He was mixing substances such as citric acid and salt and storing the paste in open plastic containers exposed to dust, flies, and other contaminants, making it unsafe for human consumption.
The adulterated paste was being supplied in large quantities to wholesale kirana stores and food catering services across Hyderabad, enabling the accused to earn illegal profits. It was also observed that the address mentioned in the FSSAI license differed from the actual manufacturing location, indicating regulatory violations.

During the raid, authorities seized a total of 1,155 kilograms of adulterated ginger-garlic paste, along with machinery and packing materials, collectively valued at approximately โน2.5 lakh. The accused and seized items were handed over to Tappachabutra Police Station for further legal action.
