in weather on Friday, with gusty winds and a spell of rain expected to lower daytime temperatures. While the change may offer some relief from the recent warmth, the bigger worry remains unchanged: Delhi’s air quality is still stuck in the ‘very poor’ zone.

Delhi Temperature May Fall; Nights Set to Turn Warmer Briefly
The expected weather shift is likely to impact temperatures as well.- Maximum temperature on Friday: 19–21°C
- Minimum temperature on Friday: 12–14°C
The Met department has indicated that while the minimum temperature may not see major changes over the next 24 hours, it could rise by 4–5°C on 23 January, and then drop by 4–5°C again later, meaning Delhi may briefly feel less chilly at night before winter tightens its grip again.

Pollution Update: Slight Improvement, But AQI Still ‘Very Poor’
Delhi’s pollution levels have shown a minor improvement, but the air remains unhealthy.
As per CPCB data:
- AQI at 9 am (Wednesday): 339
- AQI at 4 pm (Wednesday): 330 (down by 9 points)
Despite the dip, the AQI remains firmly in the ‘very poor’ category. The CPCB has also warned that pollution may rise again in the next one to two days, which means even if rain brings temporary relief, it may not last long.
