Ayodhya: The probe into the alleged embezzlement of donation funds at Ayodhuya's Ram Temple has intensified. Top Ayodhya Police sources told Times Now
that 70–80 people, including Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao, have been served notices to join the investigation in the matter. As per the sources, notices have also been issued to six banks, including the State Bank of India (SBI), the Bank of Baroda, and the Canara Bank, seeking details of bank accounts and lockers linked to the accused, the trust, and others connected to the case. The sources further claimed that the accused arrested in the case had deleted their chats on their mobiles, and now these devices will be sent to the forensic laboratory for recovery of the deleted chats.
Ayodhya Bar Association Denies Legal Aid For Accused:
Earlier in the day, Ayodhya's Bar Association aid that no advocate will represent the accused in the case linked to the alleged embezzlement of donation funds at the Ram Temple. Kalika Prasad Mishra, the chief of Ayodhya's Bar Association, made the announcement in this regard.
"No lawyer will represent the accused in the case, and if anyone does, a fine of Rs 5 lakh will be imposed on them," Prasad told advocates of the Bar Association. The association also demanded action against the Ram Mandir Trust's general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra,
Meanwhile, Sanjay Jaiswal ,the general secretary of the Bar Association, Faizabad, said that if FIR is not registered against Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao they themselves wouldfire FIR against them under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). "We want strict action against them," he added. Jaiswal also denied reports that the Bar Association has given three days to Rai and Mishra to leave Ayodhya.
SC Declines Immediate Hearing in Ram Temple Donation Theft Case:
The Supreme Court on Monday declined to grant an urgent hearing on a petition seeking a court-monitored CBI-led multi-disciplinary SIT probe into the matter.
When advocates Ajay Kumar Rai and Dinesh Kumar Yadav mentioned the matter before the vacation bench of Justices M M Sundresh and Sheel Nagu, the bench asked, "What is the urgency?"
