The talks between the representatives of the Jharkhand government and JPSC-JSSC aspirants, who have been protesting for over 20 days at a Ranchi stadium,
are expected to take place later this evening, even as protesters said they will hold a 'Tiranga Yatra' on Independence Day to keep up pressure on their demands. The aspirants are firm on three core demands: cancellation of the JPSC and JSSC CGL exams, a CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities, and the enactment of strict laws to prevent future exam-related malpractice. A five-member delegation from the protesters' side is set to hold negotiations with ministers. The talks are expected to be led by Jairam Kumar Mahato, with both sides expected to be present. Student protester Prem Nayak, now on the 12th day of his hunger strike and the 21st day of the broader agitation, said his health has worsened, with rising blood sugar and blood pressure, though he has refused hospitalisation. Student protester Prem Nayak said, "My health isn't great today; my blood sugar level has risen, and my blood pressure is also high. Health workers have advised me to go to the hospital, but I have refused..." On the possibility of next round of talks, Nayak said, "There is a possibility that a team will go to hold talks with the government today. Discussions are underway, and a team from our side may go for negotiations... Talks are being held with the ministers. Jairam Kumar Mahato is leading the dialogue, and the talks might take place later this evening." Meanwhile, student leader Ravindra Paswan says, "We can produce the admit cards of every single member of the delegation. Making such statements without verification or proper thought is completely wrong…she ought to apologise to all of us students." He further says, "…This indefinite protest will continue until the government accepts our demands. Since tomorrow is August 15, Independence Day, we have organised a Tiranga Yatra. Students from all districts of Jharkhand will come here to participate in this march…"

Jharkhand CID Conducts Multiple Locations
The Jharkhand CID on Thursday conducted raids at multiple locations in the state to execute arrest warrants against seven accused in connection with alleged irregularities in various competitive examinations conducted by the JPSC.The wanted accused include Aditya Pandey and Pawan Kumar Singh from Ranchi district; Ravishankar Kumar and Santosh Kumar Singh from Palamu district; Sanand Prakash from Bokaro; Lalu Kumar Yadav from Hazaribag; and Saurav Kumar Pandey from Giridih,.
The CID has so far arrested 20 people, including former JPSC chairman L Khiangte, in connection with the case.
