What is the story about?
New Delhi: At least nine schools in the national capital received bomb threat calls and emails on Monday, triggering panic among students, parents and school authorities.
The threat messages warned of an explosion later in the day, around 1:11 pm. According to Delhi Police, the messages were received between 8:30 am and 9:00 am, following which emergency protocols were immediately activated. Police teams, fire department officials and bomb disposal squads were rushed to the affected school premises. Schools that received the threats include:
- Loreto Convent School, Delhi Cantt
- Cambridge School, Srinivasanpuri
- Venkateshwar School, Rohini
- Cambridge School, New Friends Colony
- The Indian School, Sadiq Nagar
- CM School, Rohini
- DTA School, INA
- Bal Bharati School, Rohini
According to Police, thorough searches were conducted at all locations. As a precautionary measure, students and staff were evacuated in some schools, while classes were suspended in others. No suspicious object has been found so far.
What the Threat Email Said
As per Delhi Police, the threat email carried provocative language and extremist references. The message claimed that “Delhi will become Khalistan” and mentioned “Khalistan National Army.” It also included references to Afzal Guru.

The email further alleged that a blast would take place in Parliament on February 13 at 1:11 pm, prompting security agencies to treat the threat seriously.
