It seems like ‘snow’ right now could be the ‘end of us’– or so is what most netizens are believing, as back to back scary ‘snow disasters’ and ‘extreme
snowfall’ incidents are coming forward. Just a few days ago, it was Russia’s Kamchatka that was hit by a “snow apocalypse” as videos showed how snow heaped up to the second and third floors of apartment buildings. Clips also showed people making snow tunnels to navigate and digging out their vehicles from under feet-deep snow. Now, it’s Ukraine that saw something similar– beautiful surely, but deadly as well. Ukraine’s 20-meter-high waterfall- Maniava waterfall in Bohorodchany- ended up freezing completely. A video of the same was shared on social media, which showed people admiring the rare natural phenomenon. It surely looked like something straight of a fantasy film– but also looked scary at the same time. The waterfall is reportedly in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, and is one of the largest waterfalls in Ukraine. It is near the Maniava village in Bohorodchany. As soon as the clip went viral, netizens began to react. Some loved the view, while others called it deadly. Many also commented on how “snow might be the end of humanity”. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. Check out the viral post: “A 20-meter-high waterfall in Ukraine has completely frozen as the country experiences bitterly cold temperatures, with Kyiv reaching -19°C this week. Locals flocked to the site to witness and capture the rare natural phenomenon, marveling at the frozen cascade that has transformed into a breathtaking icy spectacle,” the post read. The post was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘Times Now’. The post was shared today and pulled many views from people.
Internet's reactions:
