Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to launch the 'Mumbai One' app on Wednesday (October 8) during his visit to Mumbai today. The app, built with an
aim to ease commute for travellers across the city, will be a first-of-its-kind platform in India.
All about Mumbai One app
Through the 'Mumbai One' application, the commuters will be able to plan, book, and pay for their entire journeys across 11 public transport systems in the Mumbai Metropolitan region, all at one place.
The commuters will be able to book and pay for all these services directly through the Mumbai One app.
Transport operators to run under Mumbai One
- Mumbai Metro Line 1
- Mumbai Metro Line 2A
- Mumbai Metro Line 3 and 7
- Mumbai Monorail
- Navi Mumbai Metro
- Mumbai Suburban Railways
Meanwhile, the bus services will include BEST, Thane Municipal Transport, Mira Bhayandar, Kalyan Dombivli, and Navi Mumbai Transport.

- Seamless ticketing: Commuters can book integrated mobile ticketing across multiple operators

- No more queues: With the help of digital transactions, commuters can save time by avoiding queues
- Multimodal connectivity: With one dynamic ticket, commuters can book tickets for any mode of public transport
- SOS: App will include an SOS feature for enhanced safety and security of commuters
“It also provides real-time journey updates on delays, alternative routes, and estimated arrival times, along with map-based information on nearby stations, attractions, and points of interest, and an SOS feature to ensure commuter safety," the Prime Minister's office said in a statement.
Navi Mumbai International Airport inauguration
PM Modi will be inaugurating the long-awaited Navi Mumbai International Airport today afternoon. Developed at a cost of Rs 19,650 crore, the Navi Mumbai International Airport is India’s largest Greenfield airport project under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
It will work in tandem with the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) to reduce congestion and elevate Mumbai into the league of global multi-airport systems.
Mumbai Metro-3 inauguration
PM Modi will also inaugurate Phase 2B of the Mumbai Metro Line-3, connecting Acharya Atre Chowk to Cuffe Parade, at an estimated cost of Rs 12,200 crore. With this, he will dedicate the entire Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) — constructed at a total cost of Rs 37,270 crore — to the nation.
