Puducherry: An unidentified decomposed body was found inside a parked car in Puducherry on Monday morning. The incident came to light after locals noticed
a foul smell coming from the vehicle near KC Nagar. The car belongs to Ramu, a resident of KC Nagar, who had parked it outside his home after returning from Velankanni Temple on August 29. Ramu said he had not opened the vehicle for around 15 days. Residents alerted the authorities after noticing the stench. Police arrived at the scene and were stunned to find the body. The deceased has been taken to Puducherry Government Hospital for further examination. A formal investigation has been launched to determine the identity of the man and the cause of death. Forensic experts have been called to the scene, and CCTV footage from the surrounding areas is being collected and analysed. In a separate news, a newborn baby girl was found buried alive in UP's Shahjahanpur area near the Bahgul river bridge on Sunday. As per reports, it was a shepherd boy who noticed faint cries coming from beneath a mound of soil and saw a hand sticking out and immediately alerted the villagers. The shepherd, identified as Dubloo, said, "I could hardly believe what I was seeing. I immediately raised an alarm and villagers quickly gathered at the spot before we informed the police." The shepherd said that the baby's tiny hand was "bleeding, covered with ants and trembling weakly" and was sticking out from the soil, while the rest of her body remained buried underneath. A police team quickly arrived and rescued the infant. Eyewitnesses said the baby's body was completely smeared in mud and she was in a fragile state.
