Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPSESSB) has postponed the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET 2025 exam). The entrance
exam was scheduled to be conducted on January 29 and 30. It was discussed in a meeting chaired by Chairman and former Director General of Police (DGP), Prashant Kumar. Exam officials said that the exam has been postponed due to administrative and technical reasons. As of now, a new date for the exam has not been announced yet. The new dates for the UPTET 2025 exam will be announced soon, says the board. This is not the first time that the UPSESSB board has postponed the UP TET exam. “It was decided that a comprehensive schedule for all pending examinations, including the Uttar Pradesh Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), and TET exams, would be prepared after reviewing the examination schedules of other commissions and institutions,” the board said. About UP TET More than 15 lakh candidates will be appearing in the exam. Previously, UP TET was conducted on January 23, 2022. Therefore, aspirants were waiting for almost four years for this exam. The board further stated, "Prashant Kumar assumed office as chairman on December 19, and his term will be for three years. Meanwhile, the other commission members have one year remaining in their term. Conducting the long-pending examinations in a timely and transparent manner is one of the major challenges facing the new leadership." Candidates are advised to rely only on the official website issued by UPESSC. Candidates should not trust unofficial dates or social media claims.
