In a blatant violation of traffic, a Lucknow man was spotted riding a scooter on a busy road– with his arms and legs folded as if he was sitting on a chair!
The act not only posed a deadly risk to the man himself but also to other commuters driving around him. As seen in the clip, the man’s vehicle had no number plate, which in itself is a major traffic violation. The video was recorded by another commuter riding nearby, while the rider was seen casually posing and even waving towards the camera- with a smile. For those wondering, the ridder’s scooter was electric, allowing him to ride without increasing the speed through the handle. Reportedly, the incident came forward from Lucknow's Gomti Nagar area, while the video is going viral. Naturally, the incident has left many furious, demanding action as people are tagging the authorities. As per India Today, the police are investigating the matter. Driving a vehicle on Indian streets without a registered number plate attached to it is illegal in the country. A driver with such a vehicle can face punishments under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. Performing stunts, on the other hand, is also a violation of the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act, 1988 and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A young man seated on a bike racing down the road in front of Fun Mall was seen in an extremely reckless manner. Instead of sitting normally on the bike, the youth was casually seated cross-legged. Pedestrians recorded a video of this incident and shared it on social media, following which public outrage was evident. Local residents have demanded strict action from the traffic police,” the post read. The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘zingabad’. It was shared yesterday and pulled many views from people.

“I don't think he caused any harm to the public. But he did not wear a helmet. But I suggest not doing this as if he misses the balance, it can harm others well. No need to worry, as our police dept knows what to do,” a user said.
