The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from experienced educators, researchers, and academicians for the
empanelment of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and applications for Translation Reviewers. As per an NTA official X post, the last date to submit applications for EoI and Translation Reviewer is October 9, 2026. Interested applicants can visit the official website of NTA at nta.ac.in to access the application details before the given deadline.
NTA SME Empanelment: What Will Experts Do?
According to the agency, the selected experts will be contributing to the preparation and review of examination questions. Their responsibilities range from developing syllabus-aligned questions.
Experts will be involved in reviewing test items for conceptual accuracy, clarity, and difficulty calibration. The moderation process will focus on ensuring standardisation, neutrality, and adherence to exam blueprints. The applicants with relevant language expertise can contribute to the translation and transadaptation of examination content into Indian languages.
As per the eligibility criteria, interested applicants must be serving or retired faculty, professors, school educators, and domain specialists with demonstrable subject expertise.

NTA Translation Reviewers: 13 Indian Languages
The opportunity comes as part of NTA’s efforts to ensure quality and accuracy in multilingual examination content, as per an NTA official X post.
Applicants interested in applying for Translation Reviewers will be responsible for checking AI-translated examination content for linguistic accuracy, clarity, consistency, and contextual relevance. The reviewers will be working across 13 Indian languages and support the quality of multilingual content used in national examinations.
Those who are proficient in the required Indian languages and have a keen eye for language and detail are invited to submit their applications for the position.
