New Delhi: The BJP on Wednesday announced new in-charges and co-in-charges for all 28 states and eight Union Territories as part of a major organisational
reshuffle. BJP national general secretary Smriti Irani has been given charge of Haryana and Chhattisgarh, while party vice-president Ram Madhav will be in charge of Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand, according to the party's notification. The appointments were announced by BJP president Nitin Nabin and will come into effect immediately, according to the party. The BJP has also made changes to its communication team. National general secretary Anil Baluni has been appointed coordinator of the communication department, which includes the party's national media cell and social media unit.

Ashish Usha Agrawal, who was recently appointed co-convenor of the BJP's national media department, has now been made its convenor.
For Delhi, Vinay Sahasrabuddhe has been appointed the in-charge, with Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and Darshana Jardosh as co-in-charges.
In Uttar Pradesh, BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde has been appointed the in-charge. Jagdish Patel, Medha Kulkarni, Pardeep Varma and Anand Ojha will serve as co-in-charges.
BJP vice-president Baijayant Jay Panda has been appointed the in-charge for Maharashtra. Amit Malviya, Sadanand Shet Tanawade and Kamaljeet Sehrawat will be the co-in-charges.
The reshuffle comes ahead of Assembly elections scheduled in several states in 2027, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
