Delhi AQI Today: After a noticeable improvement in air quality, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Wednesday revoked Stage IV of the Graded
Response Action Plan (GRAP) across Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas. The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 221 on Thursday morning. GRAP 4 restrictions were imposed earlier after pollution levels crossed the 450 mark in the national capital and nearby regions. With pollution levels easing, authorities decided to roll back the strictest curbs. However, residents should remain cautious as dense fog and low visibility are likely this week, which may affect flight operations and daily road commutes. “Keeping in view the disruptive nature of restrictions under Stage-IV of the extant GRAP impacting a large number of stakeholders and the improvement in Delhi’s average AQI, the panel has decided to revoke all actions under Stage-IV with immediate effect across the entire NCR,” an official said. What’s Next?
All measures under GRAP Stages III, II and I (November 2025 schedule) will continue to remain in force. These actions will be closely implemented, monitored and reviewed by concerned agencies to prevent a further rise in pollution levels.

The Commission also clarified that construction and demolition sites issued closure orders for violations or non-compliance will not be allowed to resume operations unless specific permission is granted by CAQM.

Delhi Flight Status
Flight operations, which were affected last week due to poor visibility, have largely stabilised over the past few days. No major disruptions have been reported recently. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Alert for dense fog towards the end of the week, which could reduce runway visibility and impact flight schedules.
As of now, operations are running normally. Since, there is a warning for dense fog, flyers are advised to check their flight status before they leave their houses for the airport
