A delegation of diplomatic representatives from Japan, Indonesia, Denmark, Australia, the United Kingdom, Bhutan, and South Africa, currently on a two-day
visit to Bihar, observed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public rally and held meetings with senior BJP leaders to gain first-hand insight into the party's election campaign. "The delegation witnessed the public rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Arrah, where they saw the mass participation and energy of the people during the election campaign," Vijay Chauthaiwale, the BJP's foreign affairs department in-charge said, PTI reported. During their two-day visit which began on Sunday, the diplomats also met and interacted with senior BJP leaders Ravi Shankar Prasad, Dharmendra Pradhan and Vinod Tawde, and observed door-to-door campaign activities at the grassroots level. "They later visited the BJP State Headquarters in Patna and interacted with senior state leaders to understand the Party's organisation, communication strategy, and election management system," he added.
Bihar Election 2025
The 2025 Bihar elections will have the main contest between the National Democratic Alliance and the Mahagathbandhan.
NDA includes the Bharatiya Janata Party, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
Mahagathbandhan, led by Rashtriya Janata Dal, includes Congress party, the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (CPI-ML) led by Deepankar Bhattacharya, the Communist Party of India (CPI), the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM), and Mukesh Sahani's Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP).
Additionally, Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj has also staked claims on all 243 seats of the state.
The assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14.
