Perry, who played Chandler Bing on Friends, died from the “acute effects of ketamine” and subsequent drowning, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office autopsy report. He was 54. The other four accused were Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry’s live-in personal assistant; two doctors, Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez; and Erik Fleming.
The Story of the “Ketamine Queen”
Jasveen Sangha, 42, also known as the Ketamine Queen, has an impressive educational background. Her Instagram bio, last updated on 14 August 2024, describes her as a curator for arts, events and music. It also states that she pursued an MBA at Hult Business School in 2010 and completed a BA in 2005 at UC Irvine. “The eyes are useless when the mind is blind,” the bio read.A quick glance at her Instagram page shows her living a lavish lifestyle, with photos of herself jet-setting with the rich and famous. Despite everything appearing rosy on the outside, Jasveen was reportedly leading a life filled with dark secrets that, according to reports, even her closest friends were unaware of. She was allegedly a dealer to the rich and famous in Hollywood and possessed dual citizenship, British and American.
The 50 vials of ketamine, which included the dose that caused Perry to overdose and die, were sold by Jasveen for approximately $11,000 in cash. According to People, prosecutors alleged that Sangha distributed drugs to Erik Fleming, an acquaintance of Perry’s, who in turn passed them on to Perry’s live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa. Fleming was reportedly an intermediary between Sangha and Iwamasa.
ABC7 reported that US Attorney Martin Estrada revealed that a search of Sangha’s home following Perry’s death uncovered a “drug-selling emporium”, including ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, scales and ledgers.
According to the US Attorney’s Office, she had previously sold ketamine to a man named Cody McLaury, who died from an overdose hours later in August 2019.
